Good Chemistry is proud to partner with organizations that are working to make life better for those in need. As part of our Community Spotlight program, this month we are featuring The Color of Cannabis, an organization that has worked tirelessly to support entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry who identify as People of Color. They specifically advocate for increased Black and Latinx business ownership and leadership in the cannabis industry.
The Denver-based nonprofit offers courses, lobbying, and criminal justice support to provide a path to success for social equity business owners who are working to enter the cannabis industry.
Their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Recently, the State of Colorado announced that it will dedicate “$4 million in new funding to advance industry involvement for communities negatively affected by the War on Drugs.”
