
Huron was born and raised in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco, and that is where he learned to cultivate Cannabis, when his father and his father’s partner were suffering from symptoms of HIV/AIDS. After his father died, Matthew decided that California did not have strong enough regulations to continue operating there, so he moved to Colorado, taking a successful business, and all that goes along with it, to another state.
The location for his first Good Chemistry in Colorado on Colfax Avenue was chosen because it reminded him of the Mission District.
With a successful and expanding Cannabis cultivation business that essentially started in California, Matthew is keeping an eye on what happens in this upcoming election. If the conditions are right and the regulatory environment stabilizes he might be interested in returning to California.”
