Good Chemistry founder Matthew Huron began cultivating cannabis to bring relief to his father James, and his father’s partner Elmar who were diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco in the 90’s. After James and Elmar passed, Matthew moved to Denver and founded Good Chemistry Nurseries in 2010.
We remain committed to supporting the LGBTQ community through a wide range of philanthropic and community outreach initiatives. Good Chemistry proudly walks with Colorado Health Network each year at their annual AIDS Walk Colorado.
Festival for Life: AIDS Walk Colorado is the Rocky Mountain region’s oldest one-day HIV and AIDS fundraiser. For over thirty years, thousands of people from across Colorado have joined together as a community to raise money for organizations that provide vital services to people living with or at risk of acquiring HIV.
In addition to the 5K Walk/Run, the Festival features live entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden, and family-friendly activities. As part of the day’s storied tradition, panels from The Names Project – AIDS Memorial Quilt, an act of remembrance for all affected by HIV/AIDS will be displayed.
Please join our team in walking at this year’s Festival for Life: AIDS Walk Colorado – August 17, 2019 at Cheesman Park in Denver.
